EDI allows us to give customers on-demand access to information on products they have coming in and out of each Cimetra warehouse over an electronic network.

Cimetra has found a cost effective and efficient way to provide their customers with the necessary EDI solution to service their customers. As a leader in the warehousing and logistics industry, Cimetra has joined with a new Electronic Data Interchange system to create a faster, more secure process for sending and receiving different types of documentation. The addition of this innovative technology will allow the Nashville warehousing company to provide customers with timely information regarding the status of their inventory and shipments. As an added benefit EDI reduces documentation costs and has a smaller impact on the environment by eliminating the use of paper.

“By switching to this new e-commerce fulfillment resource we can accommodate all of our customers’ shipping and inventory needs faster and more effectively,” stated Cimetra CEO Melanie Guay. “EDI allows us to give customers on-demand access to information on products they have coming in and out of each Cimetra warehouse over an electronic network. Product data is being sent at speeds that cannot be matched by any paper system.”

As an added benefit for customers who ship internationally and require customs documentation, the EDI process is standard throughout the globe. EDI verifies reporting international shipping data is a fluid and seamless exchange of information. From any location customers have the ability to send Cimetra requests through an online network and receive almost instant feedback.

With the adoption of EDI, Cimetra has effectively provided their customers with a valuable resource that adheres to their goal of servicing customers’ needs while keeping costs down. Customer will see savings in the form of lower administrative costs, while having more time to concentrate on growing their business.

“Especially with e-commerce stores, we understand that owners and managers want to spend more time on growing the business and less time worrying about inventory and product shipments,” says Guay. “We have invested in the technology that allows them to focus their efforts elsewhere so they don’t have to.”
