WHAT: The Leadville Trail 10K Run is the shortest run of the Leadville Race Series at a length of 3.1 miles. The course covers the first and last miles of the infamous Leadville Trail 100 Run, which consists of paved and dirt roads.
This is not only the third event of the series, but the third of the five-event quest to become a Leadman or Leadwoman. The Leadville Trail 100 MTB is held the previous day and is also a requirement to be crowned Leadman or Leadwoman.
Online registration will close August 5 and cost $25. Day-of registration increases to $35 and will start at 10 a.m. The race will be capped at 500 participants.
WHERE: Leadville, Colo. where the Leadville Race Series is held. Nestled in the majestic Rocky Mountains, Leadville is a historic town filled with old mining roads, trails and altitudes at up to more than 13,000 feet. Racers connect with nature as they trek through pine and aspen forests, and run the inclined mountain terrain with summits that disappear into the clouds.
