The HIPAA Audit Prep BootCamp™, held by HIPAA-HITECH compliance solutions provider Clearwater Compliance in Chicago on June 25, was deemed a resounding success by attendees. Unsolicited comments on the evaluations submitted at the end of the session, which was CPE credited by (ISC)2® Americas for CISSP, ISSA, IAPP, HCCA, HBMA and AHIMA, included:

  •     “You took a very ‘overwhelming and complex’ subject area and made it less so – and

         provided a path forward.”

  •     “Clear, concise, factual, no sugar coating. A great opportunity to learn “real” info, minus

         the hype about HIPAA.”

  •     “Great starting point in a large, confusing process”
  •     “This was the most well-constructed and presented seminar of this kind I have ever

attended…and believe me, I have attended a lot of these things!”

Designed to help prepare organizations to become and remain compliant with the HIPAA-HITECH regulations and to prepare for potential audits or investigations by OCR/KPMG or by their clients, the executive-level conference for healthcare “Covered Entities”, “Business Associates”, and “Agents and Subcontractors” attracted attendees from all over the US.

Karen Ryker, Chief Compliance Officer of RC Billing in Austin, TX, summed it up with, “Presentation was excellent! Speakers excellent!”.

One hundred per cent (100%) of the attendees said they were “very likely or extremely likely” to recommend the Clearwater Compliance HIPAA Audit Prep BootCamp™ to a friend or colleague.

“We’re pleased that the second of our Audit Prep BootCamps this year was met with such appreciation by attendees” said Bob Chaput, CEO of Clearwater Compliance. “The addition to our faculty of a renowned DC health information attorney, James Pyles, who participated in the development of the HIPAA regulations, as well as David Andrews, Chief Compliance Officer for Hospice Compassus that successfully survived an OCR investigation, provided surprising and informative real world experiences to the discussion, as attendees attested.”

“In addition, the inclusion of the OCR Audit Protocols to our materials and discussions has made these sessions incredibly illuminating,” added Mr. Chaput. “We’re looking forward to continuing to help our attendees by enhancing the program even further for our upcoming BootCamps in Nashville, TN, on September 12th and in Fort Lauderdale, FL, on December 6th.”
