Child and Family Care, an innovative counseling group in Erie, PA, is pleased to announce that they are now offering a wealth of therapeutic summer programs for families. From summer parenting tips to a self-esteem group for teen girls and social skills groups for children, Child and Family Care is dedicated to offering summer counseling programs that build healthy families and help them overcome the summertime blues.
In an effort to offer continued support to youth and families during the summer, Child and Family Care offers several support groups that meet during the week. A group for teen girls meets every Tuesday from 4:30-5:30 p.m. Designed for girls ages 12-16, the teen girls group focuses on helping participants learn healthy self-esteem and anger management skills. For the younger group, Child and Family Care also offers several Building Blocks/Social Skills groups on Thursdays for children. These groups focus on helping children develop healthy boundaries, listening skills, learn unwritten rules, learn how to be a friend and how to interact with peers. Beginning June 21st, these groups are offered to four to six-year-olds on Thursdays at 3:30 p.m, seven to nine-year-olds at 4:30 p.m. and 10-12-year-olds at 5:30 p.m.
Child and Family Care also offers summer parenting tips to help parents lessen frustration and engage idle children during the unstructured summer months. In addition to their summer events, Child and Family Care also offers ADHD treatment, Autism screening, anxiety treatment and depression treatment, marriage counseling and family counseling, psychological evaluations for children, play therapy and numerous other therapeutic services for families.
