Chinese Breast Cancer Institute Selects OpenClinica Enterprise for 3,000 Patient Study

OpenClinica, LLC and its Chinese partner, Athena Healthcare, announce that the Institute of Breast Cancer at Fudan University in Shanghai has chosen the OpenClinica Enterprise Edition to support web-based clinical data capture and data management for its clinical trials.

The Institute of Breast Cancer at Fudan University is one of the leading cancer research institutes in China and is a State Food and Drug Administration (SFDA) approved clinical research site. The Institute will be initially utilizing the OpenClinica Enterprise Edition for electronic data capture capabilities in a study to evaluate three different treatment regimens in women diagnosed with breast cancer. The program is a 5 year survival survey and is expected to include 3,300 subjects in 11 centers throughout China.

The OpenClinica Enterprise Edition has been fully localized into Chinese with implementation, training, and ongoing support also provided in Chinese.
