Providence, Rhode Island (PRWEB) July 30, 2012
Cardi's furniture stores in MA and RI will be giving back to the community by sponsoring the 3k walk course for Ronald McDonald House of Providence Women’s Classic on October 7, 2012 at 10 a.m. All money raised will directly benefit the Ronald McDonald House of Providence.
The Ronald McDonald House of Providence gives families the opportunity to stay close to loved ones that are receiving medical treatment in one of the nearby medical care centers that include the Women & Infants Hospital of Rhode Island, Hasbro Children's Hospital and Rhode Island Hospital. The facility allows families to avoid the cost of a hotel or attempting to sleep in a hospital room night after night with family members that are battling serious illnesses.
Accepting the fact that a loved one requires long term medical care in a hospital setting can be extremely overwhelming for family members. Another benefit of the Ronald McDonald House of Providence is that there are other families staying in the facility that can bond and provide emotional support for those going through a similar emotional crisis.
Cardi's is sponsoring the Ronald McDonald House of Providence Women’s Classic 3k walk because the retailer understands the importance of supporting community efforts. Cardi's furniture stores in RI and MA seek out local events in order stay active in the community and are proud to support charitable causes.
