The Arkansas Valley Alliance for Economic Development, in collaboration with Ady Voltedge, launched a new economic development website to attract relocating and expanding companies.

The website, http://www.arkansasvalleyalliance.org, was developed to provide information to corporate site selectors and other executives representing relocating or expanding businesses.

Ady Voltedge, an economic development marketing firm in Madison, Wis., developed the new economic development website for the organization that represents Pope and Yell counties in west-central Arkansas.

The website’s highlights include an interactive map room and an interactive sites and buildings database, which pinpoint locations such as hospitals, airports and schools along with available properties that are ready for business.

Jeff Pipkin, president of the Arkansas Valley Alliance for Economic Development, said the biggest advantage of the new website is the fact that it was developed specifically for economic development and Ady Voltedge understands what must be on an economic development website.

“In economic development marketing, your website can be your most effective marketing tool – if it provides the information and tools that relocating and expanding companies require,” Pipkin said. “For the Arkansas Valley Alliance, we ensured that this was the case by using a website development firm that specializes in economic development and routinely works with site selectors.”

Janet Ady, president of Ady Voltedge, said the project began with thorough research on the Arkansas Valley region to determine the locational advantages and then determining what marketing messages would best communicate those advantages.

“The Arkansas Valley Alliance’s region really has a lot going for it, including a number of growing industries and a growing labor force to match,” Ady said. “We wanted to highlight those locational advantages in a unique and memorable way, so we developed the website with an emphasis on interactivity and special functionality to really entice visitors and give them the information they need.”
