Imagepak Marketing, one of the leading promotional supply companies in Australia that provides specialised marketing and promotional solutions to clients, has announced that it will be accepting orders from individuals and businesses who will be taking part in the Perth City to Surf marathon. The event is set to happen on the 26th of August 2012, in Perth, Western Australia.

According to the event organisers, the Perth City to Surf for Activ will include several courses, including a 12 km run/walk, 4 km walk/run, 4 km wheelchair, 42.2 km marathon, 21.1 km half marathon and many more. This is considered by many to be Western Australia’s biggest community sporting event which, aside from allowing people from all walks of life to appreciate the beauty and splendour of the area, is also for a very noble cause.

The event has been a great help to the Activ Foundation – which is WA’s top community benefit organisation, providing numerous support services to those who are suffering from developmental disability in Perth and other areas such as Bunbury, Albany, Esperance, Busselton, Narrogin, Manjimup, Kellerberrin, Kalgoorlie and Geraldton. Activ has been in service since 1951.

Over the past 37 years, the Perth City to Surf sporting event has captured the interest of thousands of people. The state government has also shown its strong support for the charity fundraising event by fully endorsing it and inviting people from all over to participate.

One of the highlights of the event is its Marathon course, which has been regarded by many as the “most beautiful marathon in the world” with participants passing by the different key landmarks in Perth. It is also considered by many as the richest road race in the country - with an $82,000 prize pool.

Sponsorship Director Thomas Wagner, in explaining how big the marathon event has become over the past years, said, “Despite the marathon only being introduced to the Perth City to Surf for Activ running carnival three years ago, we saw the largest marathon field ever assembled in 2011 and can’t wait to watch the event continue to grow as it gains a strong international following.”

Organisers have announced that the transportation costs will be included in the registration fees paid by the participants. In addition, some roads will be closed to ensure the smooth flow of activities for the event.

In light of the high anticipation and excitement for this event, many analysts believe that the August 2012 marathon will be as successful as its 2011 outing, which had 42,000 participants.

On another note, experts and observers are suggesting that in order to make their Perth City to Surf experience complete, participants, especially those in groups, should look for ways of identifying themselves and making their team stand out for the event. These can be done by having their shirts, singlets, water bottles, caps, team bags, and other promotional items and corporate clothing customised and printed with their team names, company logos or sponsors.

Imagepak Marketing is the leading name in customised promotional products in Perth. They customise items such as sports apparel, headwear, corporate clothing and many more. Imagepak also provides consultation with regard to the client’s desired design and specifications, and prices for particular orders. The company has been in service since 1979.
