The Bangor State Fair Announces Sanctioned National Lobster Roll Eating Championship

The Bangor State Fair will crown its first ever National Lobster Roll Eating Champion where Professional Competitive Eaters are expected to compete.

The Bangor State Fair (http://www.bangorstatefair.com/) has officially announced The Bangor State Fair National Lobster Roll Eating Championship which will award over $1,400.00 in prize money to the three top finishers on Friday, August 3, 2012. All Pro Eating (http://competitiveeaters.com/index.html), one the World’s most recognized sanctioning Competitive Eating Organizations, will be featuring several of the Nation’s top Competitive Eaters as they battle in what could be described as one of the most delicious Competitive Eating Championships in America!

The Bangor State Fair provides ten days of events, activities, contests and entertainment and the addition of The Bangor State Fair National Lobster Roll Eating Championship clearly indicates that this year’s schedule makes it one of the best in the country.

“On August 3rd, the Nation will be living vicariously through the Food Warriors that are eating at the golden table of The Bangor State Fair National Lobster Roll Eating Championship where the World’s best tasting lobster is not only on display but also created into the blissful delicacy known as a Maine Lobster Roll!” said All Pro Eating Chairman Todd “The Hungry Genius” Greenwald. “I am certain that the thousands of people in the crowd will be wishing that they could take the place of any Food Warrior lucky enough to participate in The Bangor State Fair National Lobster Roll Eating Championship – fortunately, everyone present will witness an epic battle for Lobster Roll supremacy on August 3rd!”

Included in The Bangor State Fair National Lobster Roll Eating Championship will be Ranked Professional Competitive Eater Eric “Silo” Dahl who holds several World and National Eating Titles, Ranked and Competitive Eating veteran “Gentleman” Joe Menchetti, and making his 2012 All Pro Eating debut, one of Competitive Eating’s rising stars, Jamie “Bear” McDonald. Several other Food Warriors have been confirmed and The Bangor State Fair National Lobster Roll Eating Championship is open to anyone 18 years of age or older who would like to participate. Competitors are encouraged to register for their share of the prize pool and a chance to be crowned National Lobster Roll Eating Champion.
