Environmental superhero Earth Dog is fighting for the environment in a new eBook release as two other superheroes thrill audiences at the box office: The Dark Knight Rises will join The Amazing Spider-Man in theaters on July 20.
Opening on July 20, The Dark Knight Rises is the likely conclusion of the Batman movie series. Directed by Christopher Nolan, the film is the third installment in the series and a sequel to Batman Begins (2005) and The Dark Knight (2008).
In The Dark Knight Rises, Batman returns and does battle with the evil Bane, a masked terrorist with ruthless plans for Gotham. Reprising their roles from Batman Begins and The Dark Knight are Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, and Morgan Freeman. The film, which takes place eight years after the events of The Dark Knight, introduces the characters of Selina Kyle and Bane—portrayed by Anne Hathaway and Tom Hardy, respectively.
The Amazing Spider-Man is in theaters now, doing battle with the evil Sandman, Green Goblin and Venom. The film, directed by Marc Webb, is based on the Marvel Comics character Spider-Man. It is a reboot of the Spider-Man film franchise, portraying the character's origin story and his development into a superhero while still a high-school student. The film stars Andrew Garfield in the title role as Spider-Man/Peter Parker, with Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy and Rhys Ifans as Dr. Curt Connors.
