Humility of Mary Health Partners held a blessing ceremony this afternoon to mark the official grand opening of St. Elizabeth Boardman Wound Care Center’s new office at 7010 South Ave., Suite 6.

The new office, at the corner of South Avenue and Trailwood Drive, is mere seconds from both U.S. Route 224 and Interstate 680, providing easier access for patients than its former DeBartolo Place office. This centralized location also offers more convenient parking with immediate access to St. Elizabeth Boardman Wound Care Center through entrances at both the front and rear of the building.

“This new location is easier for our patients to access with I-680, Route 224 and South Avenue – all major thoroughfares – coming together here. Now, our patients, who come from throughout Boardman and the surrounding communities, have only minutes to travel,” observes Dr. Felix Pesa, medical director of St. Elizabeth, St. Joseph and St. Elizabeth Boardman Wound Care Centers and Hyperbaric Medicine.

“Not only do we provide the best care for our patients’ chronic, non-healing wounds, but we strive to provide the best overall patient experience. This includes making care more easily accessible,” Dr. Pesa says. “This location is only minutes away from our patients’ homes, and parking is just outside our door.”

As demand for services continues to grow, St. Elizabeth Boardman Wound Care Center will expand its hours of operation in the new location. At present, it is open on Wednesdays and Fridays.

St. Elizabeth Boardman Wound Care Center specializes in providing comprehensive care for chronic, non-healing wounds using the latest treatments and technologies. Treatment is tailored to each patient’s specific needs and requirements, and complements the care provided by the patient’s primary care physician.

The staff consists of physicians who specialize in the treatment of chronic wounds, nurses specially trained to care for patients with these wounds, and experienced technicians.

Physicians began seeing patients at the new office in April.

HMHP also operates wound care centers at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown and St. Joseph Health Center in Warren.
