Since September 2011, we have added 25 more districts to the program.
Chicago, IL (PRWEB) July 17, 2012
As of July 1, 2012, the PSIC covers 125 Illinois school districts. Moreover, member contributions to the program are valued at more than $10 million.
Established to respond to the needs of school districts, the PSIC program writes property and liability insurance, workers compensation coverage, school board liability, student accident coverage, pollution coverage, and treasurers bonds. Since 2006, ARM of Illinois has been offering the PSIC plan to Illinois public school districts. Now at 125 members, the program has become a model for self-administration of insurance and risk management for public schools.
"The PSIC has really picked up momentum in the past two years as we have seen traditional carriers start to reevaluate their public entity writings," says Bob Pegg, PSIC Marketing Director, “and we’re excited about the program’s growth. Since September 2011, we have added 25 more districts to the program. We’re confident that the affordability and availability of our protected program of coverage will continue to grow as more districts discover the value of PSIC.”
