Washington, DC (PRWEB) July 16, 2012
WPL Publishing today officially launched an online information service to help construction professionals keep abreast of what is happening in their industry and address some of the complex situations they may encounter in the areas of construction law, green buildings, building information modeling (BIM), and construction managerial technologies and techniques.
The service, called ConstructionPro Network, is accessible through WPL’s new http://www.ConstructionProNet.com website and consists of a weekly newsletter, a slew of downloadable webinar presentations filled with valuable advice from industry experts, and a variety of other useful features.
Through the ConstructionPro Network website, WPL will deliver to subscribers its ConstructionPro Week (CPW) newsletter, which features Editor Bruce Jervis’ expert coverage of timely construction law issues and cases. The new website contains an archive of more than 1,500 searchable construction cases and provides coverage of three new court, contract appeals, or protest decisions each week. CPW also will report newsworthy information and insightful opinions relating to green buildings, BIM, and construction project controls.
Highlighting this week’s edition of CPW are articles focusing on the legal pitfalls of ignoring scheduling-update requirements, the results of an exclusive WPL survey to gauge construction professionals’ awareness of BIM standard form documents, and some key advice that a green-building expert recently gave to a WPL webinar audience about large-campus/multi-building retro-commissioning. Previous editorial content from Construction Claims Advisor, Construction Advisor Today, and other WPL publications also will appear on the new website.
In addition, the ConstructionPro Network On-Demand Download Library contains two dozen 90-minute webinars that are accessible via a premium subscription. Every 2-3 months, WPL editors will select a new webinar recording for inclusion in the library.
“Over the years, our customers have consistently relied on our publications and webinars presented by industry experts to keep current on legal, technical, and contractual issues critical to their success,” WPL Publisher Paul Levin said. “With the launch of ConstructionPro Network, we have created a vehicle whereby construction professionals can access a wealth of helpful content 24/7. Additionally, the new site will feature expanded coverage of important issues such as delivery methods, contract forms, 4D scheduling, BIM, and productivity.”
