Formula 1 isn’t the only event in Austin that visitors are gearing up for this November. Cowboy Roundup, a unique Texas-themed event, is also drawing huge international interest from F1 attendees. Scheduled for Friday, November 16, 2012, from 6-10 p.m. at Rattle Inn (610 Nueces St.), Cowboy Roundup will give attendees the chance to sample some of Texas' most beloved traditions while making dreams come true for some very deserving children.

Held at Rattle Inn in vibrant downtown Austin, Cowboy Roundup is an exclusive opportunity to experience Texas at its finest. This event will offer attendees the chance to:

  •     Ride a mechanical bull,
  •     Lasso a metal cow,
  •     Meet a live longhorn,
  •     Test their electronic shooting skills,
  •     Get custom fitted for jeans and cowboy hats,
  •     Eat Blue Ribbon Bar-B-Que, featuring a famous recipe perfected over three generations
  •     And -- in true Austin spirit -- listen to live music.

In addition to showcasing Texas fun to nearly 600 attendees, the Cowboy Roundup will also benefit Make-A-Wish Central & South Texas, an organization that gives children affected by life-threatening medical conditions the chance to make their dreams come true. To date, Make-A-Wish has granted over 250,000 wishes around the world. Ten percent of the net proceeds from Cowboy Roundup will go directly to Make-A-Wish Central & South Texas.

“Our Make-A-Wish chapter is extremely grateful to the organizers and patrons of the Cowboy Roundup. Funds donated from the event will be used to bring hope, strength and joy to some very special children as they struggle during a challenging period in their lives. We encourage all of the F1 visitors to our city to come and enjoy this very special and unique event.” – Glenn West, President & CEO of Make-A-Wish Central & South Texas
