Lakewood Ranch-based Builder's 2012 Sales Are Climbing Up

With a dozen new home sales in June at Neal Communities’ Central Park neighborhood, the Lakewood Ranch-based builder and developer surpassed the 300th home sale mark in that community, which only recently debuted in 2010.

Central Park also led the way in sales among nine Neal neighborhoods, which together saw 42 homes sold last month. Neal’s 282 sales year to date have the company up 23.5% from June of last year. In 2011, the company had sold 204 homes as of June 30. Factoring in totals from the past two years with this year’s current statistics puts Neal at an over 38% increase year over year.

“Our team continues to exceed customers’ needs and has now topped our sales goals for six months in a row,” remarked Pat Neal, Neal Communities’ President and CEO. “New home inventory in the market has dropped below a two-month supply,” Neal noted. “So we see this as the right time to put more new homes on the market to meet demand and to add to our success in the second half of the year.”

Two new projects, Grand Palm – located in Venice – and the recently purchased Boca Royale Golf & Country Club— located in Englewood – will add to the region’s housing supply. Grand Palm will open late summer of this year and Boca Royale will open in early 2013.

Woodbrook, a south Manatee County community, continued its recent strong sales pace, contributing nine sales to the June total, up from seven sales in May.

Significant new homes sales also took place in Lakewood Ranch’s Belleisle at Country Club East, which had six purchases, as well as Englewood’s Arlington Cove and Parrish’s Forest Creek, each with four sales.

River’s Reach, a single-family active lifestyle community on the Manatee River, also recorded its first sale following the recent redesign and re-opening of the 124-lot first phase. Neal plans to open a second phase in 2013.
