New portfolio of services added for Meaningful Use Security Assessment and HIPAA Security Rule Analyses

Secure Enterprise Computing announced today a new offering focused on providing healthcare organizations with advanced security expertise and IT tools to help comply with the latest HIPAA/HITECH security regulations. In addition to the Company’s core competencies of penetration testing, internal and external vulnerability assessments, wireless assessment and gap analyses, the Company has added HIPPA Security Rule Analyses and Meaningful Use Security Assessment competencies.    The Company recently expanded its complement of certified HITRUST practitioners (HITRUST trains personnel in a methodology and common security framework for conducting HIPAA related analyses and assessments). Additionally, a software tool for sale to organizations who may want to perform their own self-assessment has been added. The company now has a complete portfolio of services which provides solutions to all healthcare organizations, regardless of size.
“Our focus on healthcare Covered Entities (CE’s) and related business associates (BA’s) is driven by the increasing security and compliance requirements mandated by HIPAA/HITECH and the financial incentives offered by CMS (Medicare and Medicaid) to healthcare organizations who adopt certified Electronic Medical Record systems (cEHR)” said Ray Hillen, Director of Healthcare Security Practice for the Secure EnterpriseComputing. “A security analysis is one of the most important prerequisites that an organization must attest to prior to receiving funding for the adoption of a certified Electronic Health Record system. We are positioned to deliver these additional services to this market and have already successfully engaging with several healthcare clients,” said Hillen.
