Today Confio Software announced that Responsys, Inc. (Nasdaq:MKTG), a leading provider of email and cross-channel marketing solutions, selected Confio’s Ignite for Oracle database performance management software to improve its speed-to-resolution of database issues that could cause unwanted impact to their customers. In one specific case, the Responsys support team was able to easily identify a database bottleneck without the aid of a database administrator (DBA), dramatically improving the response time for the application users.
Like many enterprises using Oracle databases, Responsys determined that conventional performance management tools were not usable and accessible by many groups needing this type of information, particularly non-DBAs. As a result Responsys’ DBAs were under pressure to diagnose and resolve every performance concern that a customer had. This was a considerable time and talent resource drain on the DBAs.
