Scott Swierski, was getting a house full of company settled in for the night and realized how he had more peoples than beds. At that moment he wished his sofa was a pull-out, but thought to himself how pull-outs are a thing of the past – for the most part. With that he started thinking and came up with a design in which most any couch, sofa or chair could become a pull-out. He came up with the Deployable Bed System.
"I just knew there had to be a better solution than the air mattress on the floor or having someone sleep on the couch – like they just had a fight with the wife," says Mr. Swierski, inventor . "My wife and I looked at everything out there and found nothing like it. Yes, there is the air-mattress or free standing air-mattress bed thing but nothing like the Deployable Bed System. The Deployable Bed System flips out from a suit case like container that you can store in your closet, and in just a few folds, turns any couch, sofa or chair into a bed.”
After considerable research and development, Mr. Swierski was able to finalize a design that received a full utility Patent from the United States Patent and Trademark office. “The process takes time” says Swierski, from application to Patent was a long four year road, but now it’s time to move to the next phase – seeking a buyer or licensee”.
Mr. Swierski is confident in his product and design. He only hopes the road is a bit shorter this time. With the right company behind it, the Deployable Bed System can be a real winner.
