Michael Mbiduka, a caregiver with Freedom Home Care since February of 2007, has been nominated by Freedom Home Care with hopes that he will become a nominee for Caregiver of the Year at the 2012 NPDA Leadership Conference.

Freedom Home Care has gained a reputation for being one of the leading and most respected home care providers throughout the Chicagoland area since its founding in 1997. Home care services range from post-hospital care, day surgery companion care and hospice care, to daily home visits for meal preparation, personal care, companionship and other needs.

Michael Mbiduka has been a loyal employee with Freedom Home Care as a certified nursing assistant and has continued to show dedication and commitment to his clients, as well as exemplifying compassion and selflessness. These characteristics, as well as Mbiduka's specific dedication to his client’s families are ultimately what led to Freedom Home Care's nomination.

“Michael helped provide for the physical, emotional and practical needs for one of his clients to help him lead a fairly normal life”, said Jacqueline Lotzof, Director of Business Development at Freedom Home Care. “Michael’s devotion over the past four years has definitely improved the quality of life, for not only the client but the family as well.”

The National Private Duty Association (NPDA) Conference is set to occur September 12-14, 2012, and those who attend will have premier access to the latest in trends and education focused on the home care industry.

The purpose of the award is to recognize a caregiver from an agency who demonstrates extraordinary commitment to the delivery of care to clients and their families. Only one Caregiver from each agency may be nominated.

“We are proud to nominate Michael for this award because he is a Caregiver that continues to go above and beyond the call of duty for all his clients,” continued Lotzof. “He is a caring professional that we are proud to have on our team and to represent our company.”
