Historical. Controversial. Fashionable. From tribal tradition to badges of rebellion, from artistic expressions to fashion statements, tattoos have evolved dramatically over the years and is now fully assimilated into mainstream culture. “Tattoos By JAMMES” celebrates this millennia-old form of body modification through the works of tattoo artist Jammes. In the book, Jammes unleashes his skill on ink and needle. His passion for his craft is evident in how he brings to life his many unique tattoos, treating each of them as works of art.
Jammes’ history in tattooing began in 2003 and since that time he has significantly expanded his experience and honed his skills. “Tattoos By JAMMES” brings together over a hundred tattoos that Jammes has completed on his clients. It encompasses the past three years of his professional experience as a tattoo artist and also features his specialization on gothic, religious and realistic fantasy-themed designs. From iconic images of dragons and skulls to wonderfully detailed celebrity faces to unbelievably complex patterns that combine dozens of motifs at once, Jammes’ works are fascinating in their range of styles and genres.
“Tattoos By JAMMES” is an invitation to marvel and celebrate the unique tradition of tattooing. Jammes has created a source of inspiration for tattoo artists and aficionados and an heirloom that preserves a marvelous form of art.
