The total return on capital to the investment group was 92 percent over a 28-month period, and I couldn’t be happier about that.

On July 16, 2012, Champion Real Estate Services sold 80 apartments located at Sawbury Commons near Dublin, Ohio, for $4,350,000. The company originally purchased the 80 units for $3,650,000 back in March of 2010.

“We were able to come in and instantly make a change at Sawbury Commons,” president and CEO Brian Yeager said. “We reduced the community’s expenses and increased rents across the board.”

“This was a terrific deal for our group of investors,” Yeager added. “Our units at Sawbury Commons made money from day one all the way up to the closing. The total return on capital to the investment group was 92 percent over a 28-month period, and I couldn’t be happier about that.”

According to Yeager, during the second half of 2012 Champion will be looking to purchase larger complexes in desirable suburbs of central Ohio. “Our company will continue to look for assets where we can add value out of the gate,” he said.
