KDS, the European leaders in Travel & Expense Management SaaS solutions, is launching an online survey to determine how corporations are dealing with the health and safety of their travellers, how these risks are managed internally and to what extent those travellers are aware of the risks that they face.

During their trips, business travellers are subjected to a large number of risks, which need to be taken into account in corporate travel policies. Issues such as theft, disease, manslaughter, kidnapping and natural disasters all need consideration, control and careful management in order to successfully satisfy regulatory pressures such as duty of care and corporate manslaughter compliance.

“Companies have responsibilities for the health and safety of their employees, this legal obligation can be very complex for business travellers because of the high number of partners and travel suppliers involved into the travel process” says Stanislas Berteloot, Marketing Director of KDS. “We are looking to fully understand the importance placed on such security issues, the compliance ramifications and the extent to which corporate employees themselves understand how their company is managing these very real risks.”

The goal of the 2012traveller security survey is to gain an in depth understanding of the corporate practices in place in regards to health and safety management. The KDS focus on business traveller best practice will be further complemented by debate and on-going discussion to gain a full and in depth understanding of health and safety for business travellers globally.
