Lone Star, internationally recognized in business and technology decision support, modeling, and simulation, and a provider of advisory services addressing highly complex client issues announces it received a $12.4 million contract.

The contract calls for Lone Star to provide predictive business and technical analysis, simulation and consulting services for the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) and Naval Aviation Enterprise (NAE).

The scope of this work includes data collection, modeling, simulation and implementation support in areas such as business case analysis, total ownership cost, performance and risk analysis, should/could/will cost, sustainment and many other areas critical to the Navy. The contract includes support of on-going efforts as well as new work streams desired by the Navy.

In selecting Lone Star, NAVAIR indicated it is the only known company to provide a tool like TruNavigator™, which incorporates sophisticated Bayesian Inferencing with Monte Carlo analysis in a highly scalable platform. It also referenced other Lone Star tools such as StraTableTM and OpCapTM’ used to support decision making within NAVAIR and across the Naval Aviation Enterprise. These tools, coupled with tested processes and experienced personnel, have delivered high quality results for NAVAIR in the past.

“We are excited about the opportunity to support the Navy in delivering improved operational performance, cost savings and risk reduction”, said Steve Roemerman, CEO of Lone Star. “Using TruNavigator™, we are able to provide highly reliable answers to complex problems and uncertain issues such as the future cost of sustainment. Our work helps our government customers understand what a contract should cost and what it could cost” Roemerman noted.

Lone Star has recognized that responding to the fiscal challenges in Washington requires delivering high quality benefit cost analysis (BCA) and business modeling and simulation enabling customers to deliver improved capability and lower cost and risk.
