A Proven Mil-rugged Solution for Persistent Surveillance is Now Commercially Available Thanks to HGH and Stara
- July 17, 2012 Boston, MA
HGH Infrared Systems, Inc. and STARA Technologies have signed a teaming agreement to cooperate on the promotion of the PGST-WAS Tower, a wide area surveillance tower. STARA designed the PGST-WAS tower, a multi-sensor payload platform, to support persistent wide area (360º) ground surveillance operations. HGH’s Infrared Systems IR Revolution 360 provides automated intrusion detection and tracking over 360 degree on the inner perimeter range of the layered surveillance system. Its fast frame rate and unique panoramic capabilities ensure powerful Wide Area Surveillance (WAS) through visual real-time night and day simultaneous visualization of an unlimited number targets over 360 degree . IR 360’s tracks are fused with those of a medium range radar to eliminate any potential detection gap and potentially eliminate false alarms.
HGH Infrared Systems is deploying dozens of IR Revolution 360 cameras for the Persistent Ground Surveillance System (PGSS) program, to protect Forward Operating Bases in Afghanistan. Every camera is integrated by STARA within a packaged tower solution that combines unparalleled surveillance performances with ease of use and fast deployment, in a cost effective manner. All components of the tower are COTS, deployed, ruggedized and proven to protect US troops.
HGH Infrared Systems and STARA Technologies plan to capitalize on the successes achieved jointly in the past two years with the PGSS program to promote the PGST-WAS tower to other governmental entities and international commercial clients. Demonstrations can be organized at STARA’s facility in Dateland, Arizona.
