Ohio and PA Seminars to Focus on Financing Shale Deals

Steptoe & Johnson PLLC will hold two seminars in Ohio and Pennsylvania for bankers and other investors looking to capitalize on opportunities in the Marcellus and Utica shales. The first of the “Banking in Utica and Marcellus Assets” seminars will take place on Friday, September 28 at the Hilton Columbus at Easton in Columbus. The second will be held on Tuesday, October 16 at the Hilton Garden Inn Pittsburgh/Southpointe in Canonsburg, PA.

Members of the Steptoe & Johnson Energy, Banking, Real Estate and Commercial Transactions teams will cover a variety of topics during the half-day seminars including:

•     Economic impact studies
•     Unique valuation, financial reporting and tax considerations
•     Horizontal drilling, fracing and pooling
•     Structuring oil and gas loans
•     Leases, working interests and collateral

Plus, a local CPA from an accounting firm specializing in oil and gas development will be on hand during each seminar for additional insight.
