Merchants Can Now Proactively Chat with People Shopping In Their Online Stores

Lexity, the developer of the web-based App Platform for Ecommerce, today announced the Lexity Quick Chat app that enables merchants to see who is in their store and proactively chat with them while they shop. The Lexity Quick Chat app is available immediately in the Lexity App Gallery at lexity.com/apps. Priced attractively at $10 per month per store, Quick Chat is available to merchants of all sizes and for the first time provides tools that only larger companies previously could afford.

Lexity Quick Chat makes use of Lexity Live, Lexity’s free real-time analytics product which lets merchants see what products people are looking at and putting in their shopping cart. In addition, Quick Chat shows if customers just came to the site, are conducting research, or are in the process of buying with products in their cart. Quick Chat’s use of Lexity Live enables merchants to intelligently determine which visitors in their store to chat with. For example, merchants may choose to chat with people who are looking at certain high margin products or people who are in the shopping cart section of the store.

With the new Lexity Quick Chat, the merchant sees individuals within their dashboard and what products these visitors are looking at. The merchant then selects a particular person and proactively invites them to chat. If the visitor accepts the chat, the merchant answers the visitor’s questions and helps them to a sale. Lexity’s Quick Chat is the only tool with built in ecommerce integration to over 20 ecommerce platforms including all of the major players in the industry.
