"Empathy. Until you truly seek to understand that which is different; especially that which fundamentally opposes your paradigms; then you are not truly free" - Ben Moody.
Ben Moody's "The Paradigm" offers viewers a unique intellectual challenge of faith and music. He describes a Paradigm as "A set of assumptions, concepts, values, and practices that constitutes a way of viewing reality for the community that shares them, especially in an intellectual discipline".
Ben moody invites his visitors to challenge their beliefs and outlook on the world by calling into question the acceptance of common beliefs. The goal of the blog is to help people learn different and novel ways of thinking to increase awareness and understanding of the perceptions (real or imagined), which set people apart and separates their lives from each other.
Ben Moody states, "The paradigms we reside in when in harmony create civilizations, give birth to art, higher consciousness, expanded horizons which leads to more comfort and trust and in the end; the single most important trait of humanity."
His blog topics include science fiction, altered states, religion, public outreach, education, regenerative medicine, and music. Ben Moody collaborates with medical professionals and also offers information about regenerative medicine, stem cell therapies, gene therapy, and hormone replacements therapies.
He has gained popularity with readers worldwide and has made it clear the purpose of the blog is not to debate, but to build a community of learning, sharing, growing, and challenging each other.
Ben Moody first gained recognition in 2003 as co-founder of the band Evanescence. Their first album "Fallen" gained popularity and sold over 15 million copies worldwide.
After Evanescence, he worked with artists such as Avril Lavigne, Kelly Clarkson, Celine Dion, Bo Bice, and Chris Daughtry. He has a total of 7 Grammy Nominations and 3 wins. Currently, Ben Moody spends his time writing and producing music, as well as directing music videos and independent films.
He has released recordings as a solo artist, and has teamed up with the original Evanscence members fronted by American Idol finalist, Carly Smithson, to make We Are The Fallen. You can also hear him on his weekly podcast titled Ben Moody's "The Paradigm".
