Fitness business consulting firm Fit Business Insider will be hosting a fitness business coaching session at the 2012 Midwest Performance Enhancement Seminar. The coaching day will take place in Indianapolis on Friday, August 24th, and the rest of the event will run from the 25th through the 26th.

While the performance enhancement seminar on Saturday and Sunday will focus largely on personal training techniques and will be organized by noted fitness expert Mike Robertson, Fit Business Insider’s co-owner Pat Rigsby will be presenting the business coaching event on Friday.

“Most of the people attending on Saturday and Sunday are doing so because they are committed to their careers as personal trainers,” says Fit Business Insider’s Nick Berry. “Well, part of your commitment as someone who runs a fitness business has to be to improving yourself as a businessperson.”

Berry notes that one of the common fallacies he has encountered in the personal training industry is the expectation that superior service alone will lead to financial success for one’s business.

“It’s certainly a part of it,” Berry concedes. “To be honest, if you’re not an excellent trainer, no one will want to train with you. However, if you don’t have any tools for drawing in clients and creating a buzz around your business, no one will ever know what kind of service you have to offer.”

With many years of experience in the fitness industry, both Berry and his partner Pat Rigsby realized that personal trainers could benefit from fitness business coaching. As a result, the two formed Fitness Consulting Group in an effort to help trainers grow their personal training businesses.

“We started FCG because we care about helping individual trainers out there move away from the shackles of a big box gym,” reasons Rigsby. “It can be hard to strike out on your own as a fitness business owner, so we offer all the support we can.”

Such support comes in a variety of ways. For example, Rigsby and Berry offer free fitness marketing advice through Fit Business Insider, the online resource they created to help grow personal training businesses.

“Fit Business Insider has made it its mission to help personal training business owners expand their brand through fitness marketing, fitness referral strategies, and providing people with fitness business plans,” says Rigsby.

In addition to the online resources, Rigsby and Berry offer live events and present at events like the business coaching session to be held at the 2012 Midwest Performance Enhancement Seminar.

“We want to help trainers make their fitness business the dominant one in their market, and we want them to do it now,” says Rigsby. “This special one day coaching session will cover a number of topics that will get trainers on the fast track to business success.”

To sign up for the 1 day fitness business coaching session, you must be registered for the 2012 Midwest Performance Enhancement Seminar.
