Within the pages of Dr. Barry Amacker’s new book, Power to Press On ($15.99, paperback, 978-1-62230-330-4; $25.99, hardcover, 978-1-62230-331-1; $7.99, eBook, 978-1-62230-332-8), readers will discover practical ideas to develop physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. People are ignoring their physical and emotional health in the attempt to better themselves from a worldly standpoint, but Amacker points out to readers that in order to receive God’s unlimited power, they must prepare themselves to be a vessel God can actually use.
“Power to Press On gives readers hope and and a process to find their synergetic state if they are willing to be consistent in pursuing daily activities to develop in each of the physcial, mental, emotional and spiritual dimensions,” states Dr. Amacker. “Just like electricity, God’s power is flowing, but we have to flip the switch for it to be released.”
Dr. Barry Amacker earned a bachelor of science from the University of South Alabama and later earned a master’s degree in education from the same university. He went on to receive a doctorate in education from Nova Southeastern University and now serves as the Superintendent of Education for Jackson County in Mississippi. Along with maintaining his professional career, Dr. Amacker has served as minister of music for various churches and currently hosts a daily radio program with his wife, Kathy, which covers the southern counties of Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana and parts of Florida. He is also the author of These Old Shoes.
