“SafeShare has the potential to make information sharing and teamwork so much simpler and more efficient,” said Keyware CEO John F. Rooney.

Keyware, Inc. announces the introduction of SafeShare™, an innovative social collaboration software program that allows users to view the screens of friends and family and talk in real time – without tying up the phone lines – even if participants are in different countries. SafeShare works with all PCs and websites and allows users to limit screen sharing to approved members only.

The SafeShare application allows friends, gamers, students, and even business professionals to see their computer screen and the screens of up to 20 friends, classmates, or colleagues at the same time. Users can get an instant close-up of what their friends are seeing, whether it’s a game view, tutoring session, or meeting proposal, by clicking on thumbnail views displayed on the side of the screen. SafeShare also includes a rewind feature, just like a DVR, allowing participants to review previous strategies or information.

Because SafeShare utilizes VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) users can talk in real time without using phone lines. Unlike other VoIP software, however, SafeShare allows multi-screen view for approved groups. This allows instant collaboration of information both visually and audibly, virtually simulating a scenario whereby multiple users would usually be side by side in one room. SafeShare installs easily in seconds; user-selected (or parent-approved) friends are invited to join, and in a click, the sharing begins.

“SafeShare has the potential to make information sharing and teamwork so much simpler and more efficient,” said Keyware CEO John F. Rooney. “Users of all ages are excited about the variety of applications available for SafeShare. Families that have used it, for instance, have mentioned the incredible convenience the software has afforded them when it comes to year-end school projects, where students need to collaborate outside of the classroom on an assignment that will be given a group grade.”

SafeShare also gives parents of young computer users peace of mind because they can specify a safe user group for their children, allowing only friends who are known and approved to join. The application helps parents ensure responsible gaming or shared activity online with the ability to record and review the shared game or project.

A free Beta version of SafeShare is available for 60 days here. To see SafeShare in action, view the YouTube video here.
