Port Washington, NY (PRWEB) July 19, 2012
Sandata Technologies, LLC, a leading national provider of information technology solutions for the home care industry, announces that the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals has licensed its premier Electronic Visit Verification™ solution, Santrax® Payor Management (“SPM”). Sandata’s partner, CNSI, Inc., was awarded the Medicaid Management Information System Replacement and Fiscal Intermediary Services contract for Louisiana’s Medicaid program. Through a subcontract with CNSI, Sandata will provide the SPM solution to meet the visit verification requirements.
Louisiana has targeted Electronic Visit Verification™ technology to improve visibility and oversight of home care delivery. Program goals are to improve health outcomes and deliver high quality health care services to Louisianans in the most cost-effective fashion. SPM is part of a broader approach supported by the new MMIS technology platform that will drive increasing quality by ensuring members receive appropriate services and reducing the costs associated with fraud, waste and abuse.
Santrax® Payor Management is a web-based solution that measures, monitors and ensures delivery of the “5 Rights of Home Care.” The Right patient receives the Right service, at the Right time, in the Right location by the Right caregiver. The SPM solution offers advanced analytics that provide real-time visibility statewide increasing compliance and claims accuracy, which eliminate inappropriately billed services.
“Sandata’s (SPM) tool is customized to better meet the needs of the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals, including a solution to address home health care locations that do not have land-lines or cell phone coverage,” said Larry Iversen, CNSI Executive Account Manager for the Louisiana Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) replacement system project. “This aspect of the Sandata solution makes them uniquely qualified to meet the state’s Medicaid program requirements. Sandata brings a wealth of experience to this project, having successfully implemented their products in numerous Medicaid programs, and we look forward to our partnership with them in meeting our client’s needs.”
According to Jeff Silverman, Sandata’s Chief Sales and Marketing Officer, "We are thrilled with another state implementing our SPM technology to ensure the right care is delivered to Medicaid members in Louisiana. We are confident that the application of a standardized technology approach will help to drive higher quality, maximize program visibility, reduce fraud, waste and abuse while increasing efficiency for the provider community. Sandata will continue our focus on providing advanced technology solutions for our partners to ensure members receive the right care at the right time.”
