ATS Resources, a non-profit agency that provides hearing, vision, literacy, and home safety solutions, is working with CaptionCall to distribute a phone that will not only increase the volume up to 40dB, but will also caption a conversation; conversations may be heard and read. The Federal Government pays for the captioning service and the phone is made available as a permanent loaner.

“I doubted the phone would help my mother, but what a difference it has made in both our lives.”

“I doubted the phone would help my mother, but what a difference it has made in both our lives”, was shared by a daughter. More than 300 NM residents are using the captioned phone and are able to enjoy talking with family and friends again. All that is needed for the phone to work is high-speed internet and a phone line. The captioned phone will be available through the end of the year and may be reserved online at http://www.atsresources.org using PROMO CODE hs1033 or by calling ATS Resources direct at 877.287.0608 / 505.222.0608. ATS Resources has a storefront available at 3301 Menaul NE in Albuquerque, NM with the captioned phone available to try. There are other solutions available for hearing loss as well through ATS Resources, such as amplified phones, amplifiers that will work with your current home phone, or conversation and TV amplifiers.

“There are so many solutions available for hearing loss that we never knew about until learning about ATS Resources”, stated a client from Los Alamos, NM. ATS Resources began working with CaptionCall in 2011 to let anyone experiencing mild to moderate hearing loss become aware of this wonderful opportunity for a free phone. ATS Resources has been working with hearing, vision, literacy, and home safety for more than 10 years and has found the response to the captioned phone to be positive. Clients are surprised at the clarity of sound, the amount of amplification, and the ability to adjust tone/pitch to best fit the audiogram. The free phone program was originally scheduled to end in 2011, however, the program has been extended to the end of 2012 due to the high demand.

The free caption phone is available nationwide. An installer will deliver the phone, demonstrate its features, and ensure all questions are answered before leaving. The phone may also be set up to be wireless in the home. The internet connection cannot be a dial up connection - the phone receives the captions through high-speed internet and the voice through a standard telephone line.

Contact ATS Resources to reserve a phone at 877.287.0608 or visit the website at http://www.atsresources.org and use PROMO CODE hs1033. The caption phone and other hearing or vision loss solutions are available to try at 3301 Menaul, NE. Albuquerque, NM.
