Lucifer, Legion, Shadow, Brute, Jekyll, Carnage, Bedlam and Death—these are the baleful characters that await mystery-detective fiction fans in Robert Maroney’s newly published novel, titled 55 GRAVES. In a story about sex, control, torture, and murder, Maroney crafts a bloodcurdling story that keeps readers piecing together evidence after evidence as they follow how to put an end to all the senseless carnage.
A family has been brutally murdered leaving only their young daughter alive. Two days later another family is also slain, leaving their teenage son unharmed. While most investigators agree that the attacks are random, only Detective Nicholas Pearce feels they are connected and deliberately planned. As he searches for the truth, he discovers a sinister and vicious group of killers who has kidnapped and killed many innocent people over four states; and they will destroy anyone that threatens to expose them.
Encountering this murderous crew is tantamount to digging one’s own grave. Detective Pearce, who is assigned to the case and embarks on a massive manhunt, is targeted next. Now, he has to employ all his wits and skills and must race against time to save the lives of people closest to him, as he tries to save his own.
Filled with disturbing events and absorbing dialogues, 55 GRAVES promises to fulfill one’s lust for murder-mystery books. Readers will find themselves dragged past graveyards and into blood-stained rape rooms where the abominable characters from the disconcerting figment of Maroney’s imagination unleash their wickedness. 55 GRAVES will harrowingly grip readers until the last drop of blood—innocent or otherwise—falls.
