Switzerland Gets New Ski Super Pass

Skiers and snowboarders visiting Switzerland this winter will be able to ski or board more slopes than ever before with the new ‘Super Pass’, Crystal Ski were excited to learn.

Crystal Ski, who offer ski holidays to Switzerland, think the new Swiss Super Pass for 2012-13 will rival Italy’s Dolomiti Superski Pass, Austria’s Zillertal Superski Pass, and France’s 3 Valleys Skipass. Switzerland, unlike other European countries with similar passes, chose to drop the ‘ski’ from their pass in order to include snowboarders.

The Swiss Super Pass will link the resorts of Villars, Gryon and Les Diablerets with the ski areas around Gstaad through ski lifts and slopes. Combined this area will now include the Glacier 3000, 116 ski lifts, and 420 km of piste; making it one of the world’s 20 largest ski areas. It will still be possible to purchase lift passes for the smaller individual resorts within the ski area – an option not available for some of the other large ski areas.

Crystal Ski offer ski holidays to Switzerland and across Europe. Ski holidays to Whistler and other top ski resorts across North America are also available. A range of ski holidays to Europe for the 2012/13 season are now available via the Crystal Ski website. Great value ‘ski plus’ packages including flights, transfers, accommodation, ski/board hire or carriage and lift pass in one great value package are available to selected European resorts.
