He shares the wave with four time World Champion Bodyboarder Nick Nguyen, 2011 Women’s World Champion Vanessa Arroyo and Chuck Wright who all reside in Central Florida and work at Fantasy Surf. Two other Central Florida notables are Andrew O’Conner and Nick Sanchez, both 15, who compete in both the junior and PRO divisions of the tour.
“As we near the end of a tough competitive season, it is especially exciting to compete on our home wave,” said Silveira, age 22. “Fantasy Surf is incredibly supportive of the Central Florida athletes as we work hard to improve our technique while generating popularity for this board sport.”
Silveira and five other top U.S. Flowboarders can be seen in action in a YouTube video that introduces the exciting sport.
