Ladies are encouraged to run fast, slow, walk, skip, stroll, and/or roll. It doesn't matter how you do it, as long as it puts a smile on your face.

Title Nine is gearing up for its annual Title 9K in the Bay Area and Chicago. With a new course at the Bay Area's Fremont’s Quarry Lake Park, and in Lincoln Park Chicago, the 9K, (or 5.5 mile) run, is meant for all levels of runners and walkers. While competitive running is welcome (the race will be chip-timed), the event is built upon one of the company’s pillars “being quirky is a-okay”. The best “Why I run” story and top finishers in each age category will be the recipients of our “winner’s bags”. Featured during this year’s race are the Title Nine “Run Angels,” an abundance of sweet treats (aka chocolate aid station), and excess amounts of cheering and high-fiving as only the Title Nine gals can do.
Coinciding with the 2012 Title 9K Run Series is the 40th anniversary of the Title IX legislation – the landmark law that requires gender equity in any educational program, including sports, that is given federal funding. Title Nine is celebrating the Power of 9 at each Race, in-stores and online.
ABOUT THE RACE:
A scenic 9k run, jog, or walk mostly on trails. (For the metrically impaired, that’s about five-and-a-half miles.) Ladies are encouraged to run fast, run slow, walk, skip, stroll, and/or roll. It doesn't matter how, just as long as it puts a smile on your face. Also, the post-race party will have something for everyone, including music, kids’ activities, awesome vendors, and more! http://www.titlenine.com/t9k
