Scott Edlitz, executive managing director of the Retail Services Group of NAI Global’s New York City office, has been elected to NAI’s retail leadership board and has begun working to promote select retail services offered by the organization into local markets around the world. Recently returned from a trip to NAI’s offices in Brazil, Mr. Edlitz will continue his tour of offices in the United States, Canada, Asia and Europe, as the company rolls out its expanded offerings in the realm of analytics and site selection.
“I am thrilled to have the chance to demonstrate to both our clients and our retail brokers the unique services we are offering in their local markets on a national and international basis,” says Edlitz. “This is a process that is better shown visually than explained over the phone, so getting our agents and their clients engaged in person is key.”
Edlitz’s team includes George Anderson, vice president of market analytics for NAI, who joined him for meetings with international retailers at the International Council of Shopping Center’s REcon 2012 convention in Las Vegas last month. “NAI Global is strategically well positioned to assist retailers with their global expansion plans today but perhaps more importantly for tomorrow,” says Anderson. “Looking at the future of retail is a science, and we are able to apply that science to site selection and drive a retailer’s decision-making to fulfill their long-term business plans.”
In addition to promoting NAI’s site selection and market analytics services, Edlitz is taking his own experiences on the road to share and exchange ideas. “Every local market has its own way of doing things, and its set of best practices,” Edlitz observes. “We want to take those local nuances and share the ideas that help our clients most, whether they are in South Carolina, South America or South Korea."
Mr. Edlitz has extensive retail experience as both an owner/developer and tenant representative. Edlitz is a native New Yorker, a member of ICSC (International Council of Shopping Centers) and REBNY (the Real EstateBoard of New York).
