White Horse Partners with Army Chicagoland Community Advisory Board to Help Vets Find Jobs

Army Chicagoland Community Advisory Board (ACCAB) has contracted with White Horse to help create an innovative user experience-focused portal called Chicagoland Veterans Exchange (CVE), which will help Chicago-area veterans connect with employers who want to utilize their unique knowledge and experience. In addition to matching veterans with jobs, the site provides links to other services, including resume-writing and counselors who can help translate their military experience into civilian skillsets.

“There is an urgent need to provide support for Chicago veterans as they complete their service. They deserve our gratitude and respect for protecting our freedom. The Chicagoland Veterans Exchange will fulfill our commitment to them by making it easy to access resources to help them return to civilian life,” said John Schwan, Chicago businessman and Vietnam veteran with the U.S. Army Infantry First Air Cavalry Division.

Other services available from the portal include mentoring, interviewing skills, educational training, and job fairs. Employers and opportunities will be vetted by CVE counselors before posting to ensure they are a good fit for CVE members.
