I fed into a lie that the devil hung over my head as a way to keep me depressed and burdened down

PLYMOUTH MEETING, Penn. – In her new book “What Manner of Love is This” (published by AuthorHouse), author Tiffany Johnson encourages readers to embrace the love of God and accept him into their lives.
“I really want God and His love to be at the forefront of my book,” she says. “Yes, I have to refer to things that happened in my own life so that people know that I know what I am talking about. But this book is really to talk about the love of God.”
In her book, Johnson asks, “Have you ever experienced a time in your life when you felt alone – like no one cared or loved you? Maybe things weren’t right between you and your family. Perhaps the friends that you thought were true turned out to be enemies. In such times did you ever stop to consider God and how much He really loves you?”
An excerpt from “What Manner of Love is This”:
“I fed into a lie that the devil hung over my head as a way to keep me depressed and burdened down. There were days that I didn’t want to wake up and before crying myself to sleep, I’d pray that the Lord would take my life.
Today, I am thankful that He didn’t grant that request. If He had I wouldn’t be able to tell you just how beautiful the Lord thinks that you are. I wouldn’t be able to tell you how much God values you and how highly He thinks of you. He thinks the world of you and He loves you so much.”
“I think that this book will appeal to readers because we have all experienced things that led us to question whether God really loved or cared about us. I have had those experiences and He answered me, firsthand.”
