Inmar, a company that operates collaborative commerce networks, has been recognized as a Healthiest Employer by the Triad Business Journal. Inmar was a finalist in the 2011 competition and was named Best in Class in this year for companies with 1,999 to 4,999 employees.
The award honors companies that promote wellness and a healthy environment for its employees. Winners are determined through a scoring methodology managed by Healthiest Employer LLC.
Douglas W. Copeland Jr., publisher of the Triad Business Journal says, “In our second edition of the Triad’s Healthiest Employers, we explore what progressive-minded employers across this region have learned as they’ve developed wellness initiatives aimed at improving workers’ health and reining in health care costs.”
Since beginning its formal wellness program in 2009, Inmar has increased its wellness offerings each year. Inmar’s program features an on-site farmers market, lunch and learn sessions on health-related topics, health insurance premium incentives for employees who maintain healthy weight and make healthy lifestyle choices, and a weight loss competition that is currently in progress.
Inmar’s executive vice president of Strategy and Great Teams! Steve Dollase says, “Inmar associates are passionate and energetic, so we structure wellness and benefits programs to support those characteristics and they have been very well received.”
