Manlove brings 30 years of industry experience as new Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing

Velodyne Acoustics Inc., legendary developer of subwoofer and audio technology, has expanded its executive team with the hire of George Manlove as Vice President, Global Sales and Marketing for its Audio division.

Manlove brings 30 years of retail and high technology experience and is recognized for his forward-thinking vision in his previous roles as Chairman, President and CEO of Vann’s, Inc. and Chairman of the National Progressive Retailers Organization (PRO).
He is also an honors graduate from the University of Washington School of Business Administration in Seattle and holds an MBA from Northwestern Kellogg School of Management.

“George brings a wealth of industry experience to Velodyne,” said David Hall, Velodyne founder and CEO. “His insights and perspective on the channel will be welcomed in guiding the company’s sales priorities and activities into the future.”

Manlove is currently directing the company’s new channel strategy, which will be announced in the coming weeks, to make sure Velodyne products bring value and profitability to their partners. Manlove has also built an in-house sales team, which he says is one of the strongest in the industry.

“I came to Velodyne after getting my graduate degree in marketing because of the company’s small size, family values, and reputation for design and technical innovation,” Manlove said. “That innovation is built firmly on the audio industry, specifically subwoofers, but I’m thrilled to help lead the company into new markets.”

Velodyne Acoustics, Inc., located in California’s Silicon Valley, established its roots over 30 years ago in audio technology. Velodyne’s legacy has been built upon a reputation for designing high performance, low-distortion bass subwoofers and subwoofer technology. The company’s LiDAR division evolved after founder and inventor, David Hall, competed in the 2004-05 DARPA Grand Challenge utilizing stereo-vision technology. Since its first commercial sale in 2006, Velodyne’s LiDAR division has emerged as the leading developer of laser imaging technology. Today, Velodyne continues to build on its iconic history by introducing groundbreaking technology and design to transform the headphone market. More information is available at and
