New Short Story Collection Takes Readers on a Magical Journey
Author Roger Grimson offers an exciting new adventure
In “The Trouble With String Theory,” a recent article on io9.com, the theory of multiple dimensions – 11 to be exact – is examined from a scientific perspective. Although many scientists agree on the existence of dimensions outside of what can be seen, their theories are much more scientific than paranormal. Offering a different perspective on other dimensions, and taking readers on a wild and magical ride, Roger Grimson delivers his new short story collection, “The Grandpa Stories: Tales of Otherworldly Adventure” (published by AuthorHouse).
“The Grandpa Stories” shares the exciting tale of a grandfather and his two granddaughters, Exi and Chel, as they take an adventure into new world, crossing “…the threshold into a realm of five dimensions, residing on ‘the inside’ of all mirrors.”
In these fantasy short stories, readers experience mysterious and paranormal new worlds where physics, spirituality and magic collide in an extraordinary new version of reality.
An excerpt from “The Grandpa Stories”:
Exi drifted into a space of thin bright air where hundreds of randomly placed people were rotating slowly and were otherwise motionless. Some were rotating around their vertical axes like dancers on ice, twirling in slow motion with arms and faces reaching upward. Others were rotating around their right-left horizontal axes, like gymnasts rolling forward alternatively landing on their hands and feet in slow motion. There were colorful clowns doing sideways cartwheels like rolling stars, revealing yet another axis of orientation.
Grimson’s stories delve heavily into the fantasy realm, taking readers to different worlds and dimensions. Strange, imaginative and intelligent creatures offer readers deep insights into life and connections, but Grimson has a much simpler goal with these stories. When asked what he would like readers to take away from the stories, he replies modestly, “Satisfaction and wonderment.”
