TILOG 2012 will help to enhance Thailand's competitive level and offer greater opportunity to fully realize the potential benefits of the AEC trade agreement.

Following up on its strategy of penetrating ASEAN markets, the Department of International Trade Promotion is holding TILOG 2012, designed to showcase the latest product innovations and technologies in logistics. The DITP also urges the private sector to form alliances with other business sectors to reduce costs and increase profits, thus strengthening Thailand's competitive advantage and capabilities in meeting the challenges of the near future.

Mrs. Nuntawan Sakuntanaga, Director General of the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP), Ministry of Commerce, said that as The Government has launched the policy on increasing Thai exports of products and services to ASEAN markets, the DITP is now introducing measures to support the readiness of Thai exporters in adjusting to the realities of the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) . The DITP has collaborated with Thai National Shippers’ Council (TNSC) and Hazardous Substances Logistics Association (HASLA) to organize The 9th Thailand International Logistics Fair 2012 (TILOG 2012) from September 19 - 22, at BITEC: Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre, Bangna. The aim of this year's fair is to strengthen logistics networks, to increase cost efficiency and profits, and to publicize the readiness and potential of the logistics industry in Thailand in terms of being the regional trade and logistics hub of ASEAN. These initiatives will also support and increase export products and services out of Thailand.

“The cost of logistics is a key factor in every operational process in business today, and management has to adjust to market realities and find solutions for reducing such costs. TILOG 2012 will help to enhance Thailand's competitive level and offer greater opportunity to fully realize the potential benefits of the AEC trade agreement. TILOG 2012 is an opportunity for the leaders in logistics to launch new products, services, and technologies, or to enter into joint ventures to build connections for exporting within ASEAN and to global markets.” said Mrs. Nuntawan.

The fair will not only showcase the latest integrated logistics products and technologies, but will also host various activities that are sure to be of interest to everyone in the industry, such as: Showcase of Logistics Innovation Exhibition, ASEAN+3 and ASEAN +6 Optimized Logistics Routes, Green Logistics Exhibition, Case Studies on How to Lower Logistics Costs, and seminars on topics of interest given by famous guest speakers. And especially, there will also be the Logistics Clinic with consultants available, new for TILOG 2012.
