FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – After the success of his first book, “The Book of Dad”, author Robert A. Benson, Ph.D. returns to the publishing world with the release of his second book, The Book of Dad Too. Unlike the first publication, which is about the author’s love to his family, this book delves into the depths of the author’s complicated relationships during his childhood through adult life experiences.
An extraordinary read, this book is for all who has experienced any setbacks and set ups during the course of development. Benson takes readers on an emotional rollercoaster ride as he discusses the anger, sadness, strife, and a myriad of other emotions that have molded him to become the man he has become today. Although somewhat dark, this is not a book of hate; rather, it is Benson’s means of releasing pinned up emotions that he had been carrying for many years.
Moreover, The Book of Dad Too shows how the author took disappointments and turned them into victories. Through the pages, readers can feel the excitement and energy as Benson is able to make it through each hurdle one at a time. He was a person determined to be successful at any cost.
A must read for everyone who understands the meaning of “hard work” and determination, The Book of Dad Too is a volume that makes readers laugh, cry and reflect upon their own upbringings.
This book will be featured at the Pennsylvania Library Association Book Exhibit in Gettysburg, Pa. on September 30 – October 3, 2012.
