With no end to the wet weather in sight and the summer holidays just around the corner it's time to start planning some wet weather ideas to keep the kids happy - without breaking the bank.

Heroes for Kids, the leading online store for children's toys, games, party supplies, bags, books, lunchboxes and bedding, have put together some great games that you can play at home with the kids during the summer holidays even if the weather outside isn't playing along.

"As we get to talk to a lot of parents, the same question comes up again and again" said Vanessa, owner at Heroes For Kids "What to do with the kids when it's pouring with rain without blowing the budget".

She continued "We had a chat here, and came up with a list of some of our favourites and we thought why not share them. So, we created some articles on our website (link) and these have proved to be very popular. All of the games are quick and easy to set up and need nothing more than paper, pens and everyday items from around the home - if your kids are at school or preschool."

Finger football (http://www.heroesforkids.co.uk/blog/wet-weather-fun-and-games-this-summer-holiday-lunch-box-finger-football) for example will get the boys having a kick about, even if it's to wet to go outside, whilst the story bag (http://www.heroesforkids.co.uk/blog/wet-weather-indoor-games-story-bag) game will keep the girls happy and let their imagination run away.. saying that lots of the girls like finger football and the boys soon added a twist to the story we were creating. Walk the Tight Rope (http://www.heroesforkids.co.uk/blog/wet-weather-indoor-games-walk-the-tight-rope) will test the balance of all kids who like a challenge, whilst Fishing for Lunch (http://www.heroesforkids.co.uk/blog/have-fun-with-some-of-our-indoor-wet-weather-summer-holiday-games-fishing-for-lunch) help them practice their concentration and co-ordination. We hope you like the games as if you have any to share why not let us know via the Heroes for Kids blog (http://www.heroesforkids.co.uk/blog)
