Curiosity, play and the intrinsic desire to learn and explore are what we want to promote and nurture.”
Luca Prasso comes to Curious Hat with over 25 years’ experience in computer graphics and animated feature film production. He played an integral part in the DreamWorks Animation team, which created award-winning films such as, ‘Shrek’, ‘Madagascar’, ‘Kung Fu Panda’ and ‘How to Train Your Dragon’.

“We are incredibly lucky to have such a great team onboard with us, who possess the technical and creative skills acquired from a combined experience of over 40 years in feature film production and software development,” said Prasso. “World-class artists, such as Luca Giarrettino (Italy), who created the amazing graphics for Color Vacuum, as well as Giorgio Cavazzano (Italy), Mitsue Haya (Japan), Terry Amaini (Italy) and Francesco Chiacchio (Italy) who are currently contributing to two of our forthcoming applications, as well as a network of amazing collaborators worldwide are key to our ongoing mission.”

“Adults are an integral part of a child’s creative and learning activities,” says Maigret. “As parents ourselves, Luca and I are acutely aware of this. Our aim is to design applications which engage adults on new levels and encourage and foster shared adult-child experiences. With this in mind, we will be actively working with families, educators and teaching centers at a series of ongoing events. Further details on these will be announced on our website shortly.”

About Curious Hat (
Curious Hat is a provider of interactive and educational mobile applications that stimulate children to interact with the real world. These apps are not games, but rather discovery tools aimed at energizing kids to play, create, invent, explore and learn in enjoyable ways without the limitations of set parameters. Promoting self-exploration, Curious Hat encourages the use of mobile devices as tools for child/parent interaction through the introduction of the inventive and fantastical world of their fictitious muse, Professor Vapori, as well as through a range of other exciting applications.

Curious Hat was co-founded by Luca Prasso and Erwan Maigret, both parents and seasoned professionals from the feature film production and software development industries. The Curious Hat team is also composed of an international network of experts in graphic design and visual arts led by Creative Director Nadia Andreini. Together, they are collaborating on projects that combine visually compelling design with truly innovative uses of mobile technologies.

Curious Hat apps result from an intensive research and development program with education professionals, parents and children. They are created for and tested by kids (and adults), from inception through to their public release. The Curious Hat products have no advertising banners or in app purchases, to ensure a safe and fun experience for children.
