I own several properties around the country. But I'm getting a better perspective on the creative end of it and the no-money-down aspect said John Carter a tour participant.

The Real Estate Education Center (reedc.com), announced today that they will be holding their next REO Bus Tour, August 24-26 in Queens, NY.

The REO Bus Tour takes real estate education on the road -- and into the field. Participants will visit properties and learn about the REO process including how to invest in today’s real estate market.

The bus tour will be led by Steve Goff -- one of the nation's top real estate mentors. Steve's rags-to-riches story, and real estate buying system, have inspired over 100,000 students in the past 7 years.

The three-day REO Bus Tour gives students the practical, hands-on experience they need to become successful real estate investors. The tour visits single-family homes, multifamily homes, condos and co-ops. It targets Short Sales, REO's and government-mortgage foreclosure properties.

During the Tour, students have access to the REEDC team of property managers, closing agents, attorneys, home inspectors and renovation specialists. Participants will take part in live property inspections and will learn to spot potential problems that may need repair after purchase

REEDC's REO Bus Tour delivers practical training for buyers and agents eager to invest in the New York community. Previous events were attended by aspiring investors, students and business professionals.

REEDC's REO training builds on its mission to serve the local NY real estate market. REO properties are usually vacant, bank owned properties that often have a negative impact on the neighborhood. From boarded up windows to neglected lawns, the REO can be an eyesore and dangerous to neighbors. The financial burden to the community includes lost tax revenue, declining property values and an increase in crime.

By educating students in REO properties, they can either invest on their own or work to find investors for these properties. When the properties are sold, the whole community benefits via increased property values and reduced crime.
