GlobaFone, a leading satellite phone provider announced today that free text messaging to any Iridium Satellite phone is now available from their website. The service is free and messages can be sent to any Iridium satellite phone. The text capability will be on the GlobaFone home page and will open the Iridium messaging page. This resource allows anyone to send a message to any Iridium satellite phone whether the recipient is a GlobaFone customer or not.

Users that visit the home page of GlobaFone can click the Iridium button on the top right header of the page. Doing so will bring them to a new page with a text field to type in the phone number that they wish to reach, a message, as well as a return email address.
