Jawfish Games, an industry leader in real-time multi-player tournament games, today announced it has secured bridge funding of $2.6 million that will be used to accelerate game development, as well as provide platform support for third-party partnerships.

“We are excited to be bringing multi-player, real-time tournaments to great mobile games. Our team has created a scalable, resilient, lightweight infrastructure for turning great single-player titles into even better multi-player real-time tournaments. Our software is cross-platform and seamlessly facilitates fun and engaging tournaments with players on different devices playing in the same field of play,” said Phil Gordon, CEO and founder of Jawfish Games. “We’re thrilled to secure the funding that will take the company to the next level. The team is equally as excited about a new partnership with one of the biggest games companies in the world. Jawfish is integrating our tournament platform with their very compelling games for mobile and web.” Details of the partnership are being held in confidence at this time.

Investors in this current round of financing include Founders Fund (FF Angel IV), and several other prominent angels. Kyle Stewart, part of the founding team at Zynga, investor and Board member of Jawfish commented, “I’m incredibly excited with their progress and proud of what the team has accomplished in such a short amount of time. Their development team is world class and has launched a first rate multi-player social game while also building their platform and recently signed a great first partner for their platform. I expect that we'll continue to see more great things from Jawfish in the near future.”
