The Toledo Symphony has announced that Jason Stumbo will conduct the fourth Music Under the Stars concert on July 29th. The theme is "Passport to Europe".

The Toledo Symphony has announced that Jason Stumbo will conduct the fourth Music Under the Stars concert on July 29th. The theme is "Passport to Europe".

Highlights include music inspired by countries from around the world - Spain (Amparito Roca), France (March of the Belgian Paratroopers), England (Moorside March) and more.

Sam Szor and the Detroit Caledonian Pipe Band will make guest appearances.

The 2012 Mercy Music Under the Stars presented by The Andersons is free.

Jason Stumbo -

Dr. Jason Stumbo is the Director of Bands at The University of Toledo, where he conducts the Wind Ensemble, teaches courses in conducting, orchestration, and music education, and directs all aspects of the UT band program. Dr. Stumbo holds music education and conducting degrees from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, and the Ph.D. in Music Education from the University of Missouri. He is an active adjudicator, clinician, and conductor, who has given instructional clinics and presentations throughout the U.S., Canada and Australia.

Dr. Jason Stumbo is in his eighth year as the Director of Bands at The University of Toledo, where he conductors the Wind Ensemble, teaches courses in conducting, orchestration, and music education, and directs all aspects of the UT band program. Dr. Stumbo received the B.S. in Music Education from the University of Tennessee, then taught several years in the public schools before returning to UT for the M.M. in Conducting. He continued his studies at the University of Missouri, earning a Ph.D. in Music Education. Dr. Stumbo is an active adjudicator, clinician, and conductor, who has provided instructional clinics and presentations throughout the U.S., Canada and Australia.
